• Issues between Arnav and Divya

According to reports, Arnav and Divya Sridhar met on the set of Keladi Kanmani TV show in 2017. At that time, Divya was a divorcee and had a one-year-old daughter. Arnav mentioned that he had been married before, but his wife had passed away, and his siblings were living abroad. He expressed his interest in finding a new partner. They started as friends and gradually fell in love, eventually deciding to live together. During their five-year relationship, they purchased a flat in Vaanagaram. Divya contributed to buying the flat using her jewellery and savings. They planned to take their commitment to the next level through marriage. For this, Arnav asked Divya to convert to his community, and they had a private Islamic wedding ceremony in 2022. While filming for the Chellamma TV show in 2022, Arnav formed a close bond with his co-star Anshitha Akbarsha. Reports indicated that they became romantically involved, which upset Divya. She asked Arnav to publicly acknowledge their relationship. In response, they had a second wedding, this time following Hindu customs. However, problems arose when Divya became pregnant with Arnav’s child. In October 2022, she filed a complaint accusing Arnav of abuse, harassment, and extramarital affairs. The police summoned and detained Arnav based on her complaint, and an FIR was filed against him. Arnav appealed to the Madras High Court to dismiss the FIR, but the court rejected the plea due to evidence of injury marks on Divya’s body. Divya also alleged that Arnav cheated her out of 36 lakh rupees, which included 26 lakh rupees in cash and 13 lakh rupees worth of gold jewellery. She claimed he had engaged in similar behaviours with other women in the past. Divya even accused Arnav of deceiving a man by pretending to be gay and marrying a transgender person in Malaysia for financial gain. She also claimed that Arnav had physically harmed her during her pregnancy. Divya posted evidence on her social media accounts to support her claims. Arnav, on the other hand, denied all allegations and said that Divya had attempted to abort their child with the help of others. Divya gave birth to their daughter on 7 April 2023, and reports suggest that Arnav did not make an effort to visit Divya and their child.
