Marnell kenan biography definition

Marnell Kenan

Marnell
Kenan is an American
singer-songwriter, record producer, background vocal arranger; A creative pop vocalist that is reminiscent of many influences
like Whitney or Minnie Riperton.  Not
that she sounds exactly like these ladies, but her taste for big ballads and
dance club remixed hits resonates with pop/R&B
crowds. Musically she invokes true emotion.
What makes Marnells’ artistic presence and
light unique?
  In a few words, she
states:
“I test well, under creative pressure.  Born to sing before I could even talk, I have
a gift from GOD and by that, I am blessed.
I want Serve My Purpose.  As a lover of people and all cultures all
around the world, I look to spread familiarity, hope, and love through music."
While
a background singer for Geffen® recording-artist Mary J. Blige, Interscope®
recording executive-Puffy, Jive Records® late recording artist-Aaliyah, and
world renown Bad Boy® rapper ~ Biggie Smalls, Marnell has sang before crowds as
large as 50,000 people in The Hollywood Bowl, Radio City Music Hall, Gibson Universal Amphitheater, all the way to Europe, Late Night Television and
beyond.  "I Love Touring Nationally and Internationally.  People respond positively
all over the world and show a lot of Love."

Marnell Kenan is capable of
belting and reaching Whistle register notes.
Does she write and perform?  Yes.  “I dream some of my lyrics, and wake up with
melodies in my head.  I have become a
muse, channeling messages that can effectively reach others.  The world needs lyrics of encouragement, love and every emotion that we feel as mankind.  I hope to give people ‘world music’
that touches on all levels in a positive light.
I love Operation Smile®, and my
wish is that children all over the world who need surgeries are afforded beautiful
smiles that they otherwise couldn't get.  One day, I will likely find myself in the
position as a spokesperson for Operation Smile®, or 96Elephants.org; funding & influencing others to help endangered wildlife & fellow man.  After
all, that is everyone’s purpose in life to love others, the world we are put in
and GOD.”
What kind of person is Marnell, if you had
to describe yourself?
“Demonstrative, a quick study, comical, a listener; being creative
is one of my most enjoyable characteristics.  I’m never afraid to try
something new once.  As long as it
won't kill me or go against my morals.
Trust and believe, I'm no angel but I do love thrills.  It is my goal to be a philanthropist as well,
I love 96Elephants.org!  Helping to save
wildlife is one of my life’s ambitions.”
What about writing?  What inspires Marnell?  While penning songs like “Allen Street” and
“It’s Not Our World” that range from soulful tears, speak to awareness of
nature and how we treat the world as humans to big ballads like “I Believe in
Love” or the fun filled tune “Rock Candy” just custom made for the likes of a Gwen
Stephani or Katy Perry, Marnell finds it easy to seep into the soul of future
clients and write for the modern artist or herself.  “It’s
all about when I “Let the Feeling Take Over”
how the song will turn out.”
Which by the way, coincidently is the title of one of her latest song
edging us to fall in love.  Look for her
songs on MarnellMusic.com and ITunes® available summer 2019.
She
has been interviewed on VH1®, appears
in commercials for McDonald’s® and Chrysler®, and even guest starred on Fox’s hit Television show New York Undercover as a featured vocalist.  The New
York Undercover
spot catapulted her to Motown/Universal
Records
where she was endorsed by the then President of Motown/Universal Records and immediately
signed by Andre Harrell himself.
Marnell
is an alumnus of The University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Full Sail University
(Florida) & The Clark Conservatory of Music (Detroit).  She holds a Bachelors' [BA] in Music, Masters
of Science [MS] in Entertainment SEO & Internet Marketing, several Voice

where she directed the Berman Music Non-Profit Showcase, featuring her
& Chad Smith (Drummer/Red Hot Chili peppers) in performance with her vocal students.  She was most
